SOS

Nathan got picked up, kinda last minute, to go to SOS in August.  He had tried to go earlier in the year, but it didn't work out.  SOS is Squadron Officer School.  It's a 5 week course, so I decided to try and Space A back home with the kids during that month.  It was all kind of a whirlwind, but I'm glad I was able to go while this guy was gone.

Nathan was able to interview for the Ortho Residency on his way out to Alabama.  He secured a 2 day layover in Houston, rented a car, drove to San Antonio, interviewed, went back to Houston, then flew to Alabama.  So that was nice to have it all taken care of in one shot.

Final thoughts about SOS:  Nate excelled at all of the problem-solving exercises.  However, he could have cared less about putting forth any effort otherwise :).  He did get pretty good at going to bed early, waking up early, and working out everyday!

Interviewing

Little Caesars Pretzel Crust Pizza (wouldn't recommend it)

He spent a lot of time fixing his old macbook while there.  He replaced the screen and put in a new dvd drive.
