Lake Powell

Nathan's family planned an awesome trip to Lake Powell over Labor Day weekend this year.  We were so excited that we got to go and be a part of it!  Nate flew in right after finishing SOS and we drove up early the next morning from Phoenix.  We left Isla with my parents, since we figured she was a little too young to be hanging out on a houseboat all day and doing water sports (and I didn't want to have to worry about her the whole time). It was such a blast!  The weather was perfect.  The scenery was so beautiful.  It's just amazing to me how many different types of beauty there are in the world.  So different from Switzerland yet just as breathtaking.  We camped on the beach in a tent (although many of the kids slept on the boat).  We had Ned & Julianne's pontoon boat, their jet skis,  as well as Mark's speedboat.  So we were well equipped for lots of fun!  Wake surfing was the new, cool thing to try--and we all had a ton of fun doing so.  The kids loved being pulled on the big tubes and riding the jet skis. I'm sure there will be plenty more Larson Powell trips in the future.  Definitely a success, and Sawyer and Violet are still talking about it today.
