Well I wasn't super happy with the way our family pictures turned out so I gave it another try with just the kids. We went out one morning and just had some fun right outside our house. I ended up using one of these pictures for our Christmas Card.

We found FALL! :)
While my family was visiting during Thanksgiving break we decided to drive up toward Mt. Charleston a bit and see if we could find some cooler weather to take family pictures in. About 40 minutes into the drive and we found just what we were looking for! And while the lighting was awful for pictures (cause we didn't make it up there till about noon), we had a blast and all of us enjoyed the change in scenery.
We also took the following picture for our happy announcement (which we posted a few weeks later in December)!

The Simpson's Visit
The weekend before my parents came for Thanksgiving, we had a visit from our awesome friends, the Simpsons! It was so much fun! We miss not living across the street from them and we just love spending time with them...so we were ecstatic that they agreed to come up and stay with us for a few days! The kids were pretty happy about it too. Sad part, we didn't take enough pictures :(. But I know the memories will last forever!
Jen guiding all the kids back to the house! |
These kids could seriously be siblings |
I couldn't resist! This was watching the live statues thing at Caesar's Palace...Love a little crack-a-lackin from my cute boy! So funny... |
The next few are just random pictures...Violet trying on my glasses...
Violet being cute on Sunday...and Violet falling asleep in the highchair. |
Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving this year was super fun for me...cause I got to host it!! :) My parents flew in for a little over a week and then Kristie and her family came up for a few days over the actual holiday. We had a great time, of course. The kids had a blast with their cousins and were spoiled by Omi and Opi :). And I was feeling 'less' sick, finally coming out of the first trimester. So life was good.
Lots of unorganized pictures...don't feel like rearranging this time...
Walking around downtown |
Violet became a pro on the swings, thanks to Opi! |
The bad part? Once she's on there you will NOT get her off! |
My parents treated us to a super fun night seeing Ka, a Cirque Du Soleil show. What a great show and now a great memory! Thanks mom & dad! |
Of course I had to take a picture of the table :). I was very proud of the placemats I decided to make a few days before Thanksgiving! |
My mom entertaining the kids...she's just so good at it! |
14 wks...seeing a little baby bump there! |
Shortly after Thanksgiving Sawyer got to bring 'Beariffic' home from preschool. Beariffic stayed with us for the weekend and we had a fun time documenting that time together. |
Oh you know, just hanging out in his Halloween costume reading Christmas books while I get out all the Christmas decorations |
Sawyer's preschool teachers are so awesome and creative. This was the turkey he brought home for Thanksgiving :)
Thanksgiving dinner...yummy |
Dad made his famous Chocolate Chip Cookies for us...(and bought me new cookie sheets/cooling racks!) |
The boys were very interested in the jump seat DIY |
After a while we ditched the chairs and left the boosters on the ground. Love these girls! |
And their feet!!! |
Ta-da! |
Somehow this always morphs into a choke hold...boys will be boys. Poor Violet. (but they did a great job on their Thankful Tree!) |
Creepy Las Vegas Superheroes...Violet's the only one with an appropriate expression on her face! |
Sometimes it's nice to have the garage to yourself! |
Walking into the Casino to go to a Buffett! |
Everyone had a turn :) |
Foooood! |
As you can see...it was a great week :)
